Unit of study in the Doctor of Psychology (Counselling Psychology) program.
Aims: * To broaden and consolidate students' previous learning in the program and * To provide students with the opportunity to act as responsible professionals within a counselling setting. Objectives: * To undertake 100‐200 client contact hours of psychological work in an external setting * To complete 42‐81 hours of supervision * To make progress determined to be satisfactory by the clinical supervisor In units HAY646 and HAY645 a total of 300 hours of client contact must be completed together with 120 hours of supervision. A total of 900 hours or 112.5 days of psychological work must be completed.

Students will be evaluated by the supervisor(s) most directly associated with their work, together with the coordinator. Performance is reviewed mid-way through the internship and a formal assessment made at the end of each supervised placement.
