A unit of study in the Master of Practising Accounting.

Aims & Objectives:

Students will understand the nature of competitive strategy and the strategic management accounting tools and techniques to assist in formulating and evaluating business strategy. The emphasis will be on developing analytical skills and focusing on performance evaluation.

Teaching Methods:

A range of teaching methods will be used including lectures and class discussion of issues and problems.

Assessment:

Class participation 15%; Individual Assignment 25%; Group Assignment 25%; Individual Research Essay 20%; Group Presentation 15%.
