Aims & Objectives:

This final-year unit aims to deepen the students understanding of the software lifecycle, specifically the set of activities focused on releasing and maintaining software.

Learning Outcomes

After successfully completing this unit, a student should be able to:
  • Describe the activities in software deployment and apply these in a problem context.
  • Apply knowledge of software environments to plan development and deployment.
  • Describe and classify issues that drive software maintenance.
  • Measure and model the growth as well as change of a software system in order to analyse the history of a
    software project.
  • Read scientific literature, summarize key contributions, repeat experiments and discuss outcomes.
