This unit of competency sets out the knowledge and skills required to select, setup and test a range of alternating current and direct
current rotating machines. This involves the determination of required characteristics for the application, the selection of appropriate machine type to meet these requirements, the design of circuits to operate and test the machine and the production of drawings and documents to describe its operation.
