A unit of study in the Master of Information Technology and Master of Information Systems Management Note: Students enrol into HIT8170 in the semester they commence the Research Report and HIT8270 in the subsequent semester.
To provide a flexible program of study which allows the student to undertake a special project. This would require research into a topic that is relevant to the course but alternative to the prescribed units in Stage 2.
Written Report
Students to prepare an article of around 8,000 words on a topic chosen in consultation with staff. Generally the paper will take the form of a comprehensive literature review of a topic of contemporary interest.
There is no prescribed text. Students will be directed to appropriate books and journal articles.
