A unit of study in the Graduate Certificate of Science (Network Systems), Graduate Diploma of Science (Network Systems) and Master of Science in Network Systems.

Aims & Objectives:

Students who successfully complete this unit of study will be able to develop analytical, research and report writing skills while exploring a topic relevant to the course.

Teaching Methods:

Supervised Reading, Experimental Work and Individual Consultation as Required

Assessment:

Two Oral Presentations, Final Report.

Content:

This unit of study requires students to prepare an article of around 8,000 words on a topic chosen in consultation with staff. Generally the paper will take the form of a comprehensive literature review of a topic of contemporary interest, followed by presentation of research undertaken by the student.

There are no prescribed texts. Students will be directed to the appropriate books and/or journal articles.
