A unit of study in the Master of Technology (Business Systems).
The purpose of this project-based unit is to provide an opportunity for each participant to integrate their learning by planning, researching and designing an information systems or sustainable business project. The approach taken will be research based and appropriately contextualised to the specific environment within which the project resides. Upon completion of the unit, students should be able to: Develop a research design as the blue print for fulfilling research objectives and answering key research questionsCarry out a literature review of work relevant to a business issueIdentify target populations and the sampling process as appropriateDemonstrate an understanding of the ethics application processPrepare and submit an ethics application for approvalReport on research findings as appropriateContextualise research findings and conclusions to address dynamic business needs
Online/BlendedThis unit will be taught using a combination of online meetings, lectures and learning objects.
