Aims & Objectives:

Upon completion of this unit students will be able to:-
  • Understand the concept of project management
  • Understand project management principles, and possess the knowledge, skills and techniques to allow them to effectively participate in and manage projects.
  • Know how to demonstrate the application of project management tools to different project situations; 
  • Understand the new concept development process and the application of project management tools and methodologies, and
  • Work effectively in a team environment. 
  • Communicate in an effective manner suitable for business audiences.

  • Developing the business case, financial analysis & projection, evaluation of projects (RoI, DCF, NPV, RoE etc)
  • Project idea generation, screening, evaluation, selection and planning
  • Introduction to Microsoft Office Project
  • Project scheduling and resources allocation 
  • Project costing and budgeting
  • New concept development process
  • Human resource management, including team development and communication. Managing and participating in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Project risk management
  • Project control and management
  • Project closure, evaluation and review
