A unit of study in the Graduate Certificate of MultimediaGraduate Diploma of Multimedia, Master of Multimedia and Master of Multimedia Technology, and an elective unit in the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Media and Multimedia strand.

Aims & Objectives:

To extend multimedia development and production skills to a professional level.
Following successful completion of this unit students will:have gained experience in advanced scripting techniques for web-based Multimedia and in debugging code in an authoring environment.

Teaching Methods:

Lectures, laboratory classes and online delivery.

Assessment:

Interactive assignments 45%, in-class test and examination 40%, homework tasks 15%

Content:

Intermediate level understanding of software and programming issues in multimedia.
Intermediate to advanced scripting techniques for immersive multimedia.
An understanding of relative Industry standards with relation to naming conventions and syntax.
Object oriented, modular and dynamic scripting for multimedia applications.
Debugging code in an authoring environment.
Developing game concepts.
Packaging your software.
