A minor thesis unit of study in the  Master of Science (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Master of Science (Good Manufacturing Practices) (Honours).

Aims & Objectives:

This unit of study aims to provide students with the opportunity to begin research into or under GMP conditions.

Teaching Methods:

Self-directed study and/or laboratory work under the guidance of a supervisor.

Assessment:

  • Progress Reports (40%)
  • Thesis or Final Report (60%)

Students will be provided with feedback during the assessment for this unit of study on their progress in attaining the following generic skills:

Content:

HES6421 is the first semester component of the part-time thesis option. Students will begin work, under supervision, on a selected research and development project approved by the unit convener. Each project will involve an extensive literature survey which will form part of HES6422 and will be formally assessed in HES6421. Supervisory guidance will be given with respect to experimental design, literature searching and an introductory research project.
