A core unit of study in the Graduate Certificate of Arts (Media and Communications),Graduate Diploma of Arts (Media and Communications) and Master of Arts (Media and Communications).
The aim of this subject is to introduce students to a variety of media industry professionals from a range of fields in order to educate them about the kinds of employment opportunities available in the media professions. Students will also participate in professional networking opportunities as part of this subject.

Students will attend weekly seminars presented by professionals working in the media industries. Presenters are drawn from a range of areas including multimedia and online production, content management, journalism, the film, television and radio industries and independent/freelance production. As well as participating in the seminars, students are required to research and conduct an interview with an industry professional from a field of their choice. The interview is then presented as a finished media product in the form of a report, radio or video interview or website.
