Content:

• Students will work, under Swinburne staff supervision, on projects approved by the Course Coordinator. Industrial supervisors may be appointed when required. Each project will involve literature survey, application of theory and techniques, and some methodological investigation.
• Wherever possible projects will be industry based and/or sponsored, and directly relevant to the student’s area of interest or employment. 
• The investigative work carried out on the project, results and conclusions will be presented as a written report in accordance with approved guidelines. An oral presentation of the project work (to a selected audience) may also be required.

As appropriate to be prescribed by project supervisor.

References:

Various references and sources of information will be required, depending on the project topic. Supervisors will assist with providing and suggesting suitable references, which include articles in conference papers, journals, trade magazines, books, internet, and communications with experts from industry and within Swinburne.
