At the completion of this unit students should be able to: Understand the measurement, causes and costs of macroeconomic conditionsAnalyse the meaning and implications of Balance of Payments outcomesExplain the objectives, and workings of economic policiesEvaluate conditions within an economy and the appropriateness of policiesDraw and interpret graphs showing conditions in macroeconomic marketsRecognise and interpret the meaning of key macroeconomic data
Lecture (2 hours), Tutorial (1 hour)
Group workshop 10%-15%; online test 10%-15%; short answer test 20%-25%; participation 0%-5%; final examination 40-60%. Students must gain 50 marks overall, attempt all assessment items and score a minimum of 40% in the final exam.
