Aims & Objectives:

At the conclusion of this unit students will be able to:
  • Describe what entrepreneurship is and how it impacts the economy
  • Recognise the risks and rewards of entrepreneurship
  • Understand the challenges and the motivations faced by an entrepreneur or an entrepreneurial team
  • Analyse the characteristics of a successful entrepreneur
  • Present an evaluation of an entrepreneurial activity
  • Outline a proposal for an entrepreneurial project

Teaching Methods:

Lecture (1 hour), Seminars (1 hour), Tutorials (1 hour)

Assessment:

Individual Assignment (30%), Participation (20%), Preparation for Seminars (20%), Group Project (30%)
