Aims & Objectives:

After taking this unit of study participants will:

  • have a deeper knowledge of the exteriors and interiors of perspectives and recognise the constant interplay between each;
  • have the basic tools with which to reconceptualise any issue or methodology from an integral perspective; and
  • have gained experience in techniques for self-reflection.

Teaching Methods:

A range of teaching methods will be used, including lectures, presentations and small group activities.

Assessment:

Minor essay: 10%
Learning journal: 20-30%
Group activity: 20%
Major Essay: 40-50%

Content:

The purpose of this unit of study is to provide an in-depth understanding of a set of conceptual frameworks in the emerging discipline of Integral Theory. While the unit of study does builds upon frameworks introduced in the first and second year unit of studys its ideas can be applied to other disciplines. It provides participants with a set of important tools to consider any issue as both a physical and metaphysical perspective. The theory allows participants to consider the perspectives of themselves and others in any endeavour.
