Aims & Objectives:

At the completion of this unit students should be able to:
  • Provide an overview of the main features of the European Single Market regulatory environment.
  • Analyse the European Union (EU) in the global trading environment and comparatively as a regional trading entity.
  • Consider the individual economies of the EU in terms of the European integration process.
  • Identify opportunities and threats affecting trade between Australia and Europe.
  • Analyse EU external relations with Asia and, in particular, with Australia.
  • Be familiar with online international business research in the European markets.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.

Teaching Methods:

Classes in either weekly or block mode

Assessment:

Group Presentation and Assignment (10%-20%)

Examination (40%-50%)
