After successfully completing this unit, you should be able to: Demonstrate knowledge of organisational management and fundamental business strategies and apply techniques to achieve successful business outcomes Apply supply chain management techniques and Porter’s value chain principles to business situations Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental computer hardware and apply that knowledge to produce hardware configuration specifications for a business context Demonstrate knowledge of various desktop and server operating systems and be able to explain the fundamental differences between them Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental networking principles and design and apply that knowledge to produce a network design model for a simple business problem Demonstrate knowledge of Work Flow Modelling techniques Demonstrate knowledge of various UML diagrams, specifically System Sequence Diagrams and Class Diagrams, Activity Diagrams and Use Case Diagrams, and identify their components.
