Aims & Objectives:

Students who successfully complete this unit of study will be able to:
  • Understand telecommunication networks
  • Understand access network technologies
  • Design and plan large telecommunication networks
  • Understand network management, quality of service and cross layer design concepts
  • Model and analyse telecommunication networks
  • Familiar with 3G (and beyond) mobile networks
