This unit is run on a project basis, and as such, is aimed at students who wish to apply the skills learned in prior database, programming and project management units to solve a complex database application problem. At the commencement of the project, deliverables need to be identified and agreed upon by project groups and the unit controller, and clear expectations set in terms of requirements for assessment.In addition to this, students will be able to apply some of the following skills developed in previous units to a real-world project: Data integrity Integrity independenceBusiness rules PL/SQL Database TriggersStored proceduresProgramming with cursorsWeb based database systemsCommunication skills in dealing with clients and colleaguesDesignProject planning and managementQuality assurance via processTest planning, execution and record-keepingWorking to standardsTechnical documentationDocument version control
