Students who complete this unit of study should be able to: Analyse performance requirements and define appropriate database structures for a given database system.Explain the various options for database performance tuning.Explain how a given query plan executes and be able to evaluate its effectiveness and take action to improve it.Apply physical design principles to a range of database systems including distributed, data warehouse and non-relational database systems.
