By the end of this unit, students should be able to: Become more familiar with some behavioural problems of managing and working in interpersonal and group settings. Further develop their ability to systematically understand some basic factors that influence the behaviour of groups and individuals in work situations.Understand the determinants of effective behaviour in terms of productivity, job satisfaction and growth.Develop their ability to define the courses of behavioural problems at work and to derive implications for management.Use the classroom as a source of data.

The class will look at the choices that are critical and central to a growing organisation and the role that HRM plays in the decision-making process. Major topics include motivation, perception, interpersonal communication, leadership, power and influence, decision making, group dynamics, team building, incorporating culture and socialisation.
