Aims & Objectives:

At the completion of this unit students should be able to:
  • Identify the main themes across the three trade regions
  • Learn about the various business practices and cultures prevailing in the regions
  • Identify various inter-cultural nuances in interpersonal communications
  • Work effectively in a multi cultural team environment

Classes in either weekly or block mode

Assessment:

Short Test 10-20%
Group Presentation 30-40%
Final Examination 40-50%

  • Political economy of the three regions
  • Business practices and cultures prevailing in the regions.
  • Study of doing business in geographical areas such as:
    - East Asia cultural institutions.
    - North East Asia.
    - South East Asia.
    - The Americas.
    - Europe.
