Learning Outcomes Students who complete this unit of study should be able to: Define and describe the concepts and history of business process, business process value, business process improvement, business process reengineering and workflowDemonstrate by example the benefits of conceptualising an organisation in terms of its core business processes, and articulating a process architecture that ensures an alignment between processes and strategyCompare and evaluate different methods, tools and techniques to identify, model and redesign business processesArticulate the transformations and decisions required to convert an 'As-Is' process model into a ' To-Be' modelShow by example how the introduction of IS/IT-enabled process automation and process improvement can facilitate innovation in contemporary organisationsGiven an organisational scenario, make a recommendation for the deployment of appropriate process improvement technologies and evaluate their impact on the organisation
