A unit of study in the Graduate Certificate of Aviation (Human Factors), Graduate Diploma of Aviation (Human Factors) and Master of Aviation (Human Factors); Graduate Certificate of Aviation (Management), Graduate Diploma of Aviation (Management) andMaster of Aviation (Management).
To facilitate an understanding of the changing nature of the aviation industry, embracing many facets of contemporary aviation, and extend the interaction of the student with industry at a management / executive level, course material providers, tutors, Swinburne staff and peers.

Depending on the topics chosen for presentation at the seminar, students will have developed a broad understanding of many of the considerations relating to successful and safe aviation. At the completion of this unit, students should exhibit the following graduate attributes: Are capable in their chosen professional, vocational or study areas. Operate effectively and ethically in work and community situations. Are entrepeneurial in contributing to innovation and development within their business, workplace, or community. Are aware of environments in which they will be contributing.

Topics being presented at the seminar each year will vary, but will focus on providing valuable background for students embarking on an aviation postgraduate course or who may be mid-way through their studies.
There is no specific text prescribed. Readings will be prescribed in notes provided by seminar presenters.
