An unit of study in the Graduate Certificate of Aviation (Human Factors), Graduate Diploma of Aviation (Human Factors) and Master of Aviation (Human Factors); Graduate Certificate of Aviation (Management), Graduate Diploma of Aviation (Management) and Master of Aviation (Management).
The purpose and aims of this unit are to study various technical, legal and operational issues relating to certification of aircraft and organisations, flight simulation, extended twin operations and operational control. Historically these topics have complex technical, legal and facilitation issues that were made more difficult by the management standards imposed by different states. In recent times with the harmonization of regulatory standards, significant progress has been made with some logical alignment of technical and legal issues to support the overall globalization of the Air Transportation industry. The topics have been approached in a way that is relevant, functional and useful for mid level personnel and managers in operational and technical roles.
