A unit of study in the Graduate Certificate of Aviation (Human Factors), Graduate Diploma of Aviation (Human Factors) and Master of Aviation (Human Factors); Graduate Certificate of Aviation (Management), Graduate Diploma of Aviation (Management) and Master of Aviation (Management).
At the end of this unit, students should have a basic understanding of a number of issues in the complex and critical task that will determine the future success of an airline operation. Students should finish this unit with a broader understanding of most of the important issues and options in this critical corporate task. The evaluation and selection task brings together every facet of the business from airframe/engine type matching, retention of performance, fuel burn, maintenance cost guarantees, crew training and endorsements, passenger marketing, through to banking and financing of the project.
