Aims & Objectives:

Students who complete this unit of study should be able to:

  • Be well informed and demonstrate a sound understanding of the key issues facing IT Executives in a range of  contemporary organisations.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the major theoretical frameworks underpinning IS Management, and be able to critique these frameworks in light of practice in organisations.
  • Analyse business cases, identify and diagnose key IS Management issues, understand the implications of various recommendations, and make recommendations grounded both in theory and practice to address these issues in a professional manner for the benefit of the organisation.
  • Understand the organisational benefits of effective management of  the IT resource.
