The Graduate Diploma of Business Administration is available to students who wish to only complete the first two stages of the Master of Business Administration (MBA).

This program will replace the Graduate Diploma of Business Administration (BMBA580) from Semester 1, 2012.
 
The Graduate Diploma of Business Administration is only available as an exit award within the Master of Business Administration  program.


The Graduate Diploma of Business Administration forms the second stage of the MBA program and is an exit award only.

 

The graduate diploma level is focused on strategic thinking and management techniques for turbulent times, business finance and analysis, and workforce leadership and strategy and business information systems.

 

To qualify for the award of Graduate Diploma of Business Administration, students must complete four core, stage 2 units (50 credit points) from the masters program in addition to the Graduate Certificate of Business Administration (entry award). The four units are normally completed over two semesters of part-time study*, or may be completed in one semester full-time.

 

Students cannot enrol directly into the Graduate Diploma of Business Administration; this is an exit degree only.

 

* International students holding an international student visa are required to study full-time and cannot take the part-time study mode.

Exit with the graduate certificate or progress to the Master of Business Administration.
 
Graduate Diploma of Business Administration (CMBA540) (exit award)

Exit with the graduate diploma or progress to the Master of Business Administration.

Swinburne College English for Academic Purposes Advanced level certificate at the postgraduate level (EAP 5: PG-70%); OR, obtaining a minimum IELTS overall band of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0; OR, a TOEFL (Paper-based) minimum score of 575 (with Test of Written English (TWE) score of 5); OR, a TOEFL (Computer-based) minimum score of 232 (with Written Writing score of 5); OR, a TOEFL (Internet-based) minimum score of 90 with no band less than 20.

An appropriate undergraduate qualification at a credit level (GPA 2.5, GMAT 550 or equivalent) from a recognised institution as well as a minimum of three years post-university work experience in a relevant field.

Candidates who do not hold an appropriate qualification but who have significant relevant work experience (usually at least five years) and evidence of academic capability may be admitted initially to the graduate certificate.
