The Graduate Certificate of Business Administration is available to students who wish to only complete the initial stage of the Master of Finance and Banking.
 
(International students holding an international student visa are required to study full-time and cannot take the part-time study mode.)


The Graduate Certificate of Finance and Banking forms the first stage and is the entry award for the Master of Finance and Banking (CMFB640).
 
The graduate certificate provides the basic entry level for people seeking careers and qualifications in banking and finance. The first four units cover the areas of accounting priniciples, business modelling and analysis, economics and corporate financial management.
 
To qualify for the award of Graduate Certificate of Finance and Banking (CMFB440), students must complete four core stage 1 units of study (50 credit points). The four units can be completed over two semesters of part-time study*, or may be completed in one semester full-time.
 
*International students holding an international student visa are required to study full-time and cannot take the part-time study mode.


 
Exit with the graduate certificate or progress to the Master of Finance and Banking.

Note: International students who have completed a prior higher education or TAFE degree or diploma course in Australia and met the IELTS proficiency for entry into that course, will not be required to re-sit the IELTS for entry into the Master of Banking and Finance.


Swinburne College English for Academic Purposes Advanced level certificate at the postgraduate level (EAP 5: PG-70%); OR, obtaining a minimum IELTS overall band of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0; OR, a TOEFL (Paper-based) minimum score of 575 (with Test of Written English (TWE) score of 5); OR, a TOEFL (Computer-based) minimum score of 232 (with Written Writing score of 5); OR, a TOEFL (Internet-based) minimum score of 90 with no band less than 20.
