Course Description:
The Graduate Certificate of Business (eBusiness and Communication) has been developed to meet the business demand to understand the paradigm shift in both corporate and small business cultures. The flexible approach (seminars and online component) makes postgraduate studies achievable for the wider community, while maintaining academic rigour.The objective of the Graduate Certificate of Business (eBusiness and Communication) is to introduce students to the practice of eBusiness and Communication today and its impact on management, communications, information technology and the business environment.All assessment tasks have immediate practical benefits in the workforce.
Aims & Objectives:
The graduate certificate will explore the business of enterprise transformation, particularly caused through internationalisation of business practice and rapid and complex changes in technology and telecommunications. The student will: Analyse business, systems and technology from a multi-disciplinary perspective. Analyse business from an eBusiness and enterprise transformation for commercial sustainability and value creation. Apply a range of mental models and systems thinking methods capabilities for the purpose of business design and strategic planning. Define, collect and evaluate information for specific enterprise management purposes in the context of business transformation. Broaden knowledge of business communication channels and their application, with increasing cultural awareness for work place. Analyse the nature and importance of accountability and governance for business sustainability and in developing related values for professional applications as a future manager in local and international business activities.
Course Structure:
The Graduate Certificate of Business (eBusiness and Communication) consists of four units of study, each worth 12.5 credit points. Units may consist of a number of modules to allow simplicity and flexibility in course delivery. The program enables students to study in a variety of modes including: Full-time: study full-time weekday classes (for local and international students) Part-time: study part-time weekday classes (for local students) Online: study all units online in your home country (for international students) or in Australia (for local students) Mixed mode: study some units online and the balance by weekday classes (for local students)

Entry Requirements:
A first degree qualification in any area. Applicants who do not hold an appropriate qualification but who have considerable relevant experience are also eligible to apply.
Credit Transfer:
Applicants with prior tertiary studies that satisfy part of the academic requirements of this program may be granted ‘credit’ and/or entry into the program with ‘advanced standing’. University policies apply and applicants are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Recognition of Prior Learning:

Course Fees:
In 2008, tuition fees for this program are based on $1500 per 12.5 credit point unit of study. In the event that a unit of study is derived from another program, the applicable fee will be that of the other program. All fees are reviewed each year and may increase without notice. HELP The Higher Education Loan Program (HELP) is a suite of income contingent loans for Australian citizens and holders of Australian permanent resident humanitarian visas. FEE-HELP (previously PELS) is for eligible fee paying undergraduate and postgraduate students. It provides students with a loan to cover their tuition fees (lifetime maximum $80,000 indexed annually). Note: New Zealand citizens and holders of other Australian permanent resident visas do not have access to HELP loans. These students must pay their student contributions or tuition fees up front without a discount.
