After completing this course, students will possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and possess a range of specialised, technical or managerial competencies that will allow them to plan, carry out and evaluate their own work or the work of a team.


The Diploma of Business Administration incorporates the Certificate IV in Business Administration. Eight units of competency are required for the Diploma. Additional specialist areas are offered at the school's discretion and may include competency standards from the following areas:

Students will be equipped for work as an executive assistant, administrative supervisor or officer, or in senior administrative positions.

Satisfactory completion of the Swinburne College English for Academic Purposes Upper Intermediate level certificate at the Pathways level (EAP 4: Pathways -60%); OR, obtaining a minimum IELTS overall band of 5.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 5.0; OR, a TOEFL (Paper-based) minimum score of 527 (with a Test of Written English (TWE) score of 4.5); OR, a TOEFL Computer-based) minimum score of 196 (with Written Writing score of 4.5); OR, a TOEFL (Internet-based) minimum score of 71 with no band less than 18.
