The Diploma of Business (UniLink) is a direct pathway to second-year university. The units are similar to those in the first year of a bachelor degree, but the classroom environment is different.

Classes are smaller and you have more individual attention from your teachers to help you adjust to university in Australia.

UniLink is accredited as an award-level higher education diploma.


Students who successfully complete all units of study in the Diploma of Business (UniLink) are guaranteed second-year entry to one of the following degrees:
* Students who wish to transfer into the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) will only be eligible for six exemptions.


Faster transition for February commencements:
Students who start the Diploma of Business (UniLink) in February normally finish in September, which means there is a four-month waiting period before you can start your bachelor degree the following year. You will be able to start your bachelor degree immediately after finishing UniLink in mid-September by enrolling in a two-subject summer school from September to November.


Students must complete eight units in total, including seven compulsory units and one elective.

Introduction to Business Information Systems
Marketing Concept, the
Microeconomics
Organisations and Management
Quantitative Analysis

Elective units (choose one)*:
Financial Information Systems
Foundations of International Business
Introduction to Programming in .NET
Law in the Commercial World

* Not all electives are available at every intake.
 
Assessment may include a range of formal and informal tasks, including individual and group projects, assignments, presentations and examinations.


Depending on the bachelor degree you choose and the areas in which you major, you may find employment in accounting, commercial law, finance, human resources, international business, management, marketing, project management, public relations, software development, systems analysis or tourism management. You might even like to launch your own business.

Satisfactory completion of the Swinburne College English for Academic Purposes Upper Intermediate level certificate at the Pathways level (EAP 4: Pathways -60%); OR, obtaining a minimum IELTS overall band of 5.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 5.0; OR, a TOEFL (Paper-based) minimum score of 527 (with a Test of Written English (TWE) score of 4.5); OR, a TOEFL Computer-based) minimum score of 196 (with Written Writing score of 4.5); OR, a TOEFL (Internet-based) minimum score of 71 with no band less than 18.
