Course Description:
The Certificate IV in Hospitality aims to provide you with the skills and knowledge for work as a manager in a variety of hospitality settings. You will be able to analyse, design, and execute judgements using wide-ranging technical, creative, conceptual or managerial competencies. Your knowledge base may be specialised or broad and you will often be accountable for group outcomes.
Aims & Objectives:
The course aims to further your commercial cookery skills, whether you are already working in a team leader or supervisory position, or are looking to establish yourself in this role as a cook or a chef.
Course Structure:
To achieve a Certificate IV in Hospitality, 26 units must be completed: 14 Core units and 12 Elective units. The Course is conducted on campus at Lilydale and Prahran.

Education Abroad:
Swinburne offers International Exchange Programs as well as other Education Abroad Programs to help internationalise your degree. Entry Requirements:
Satisfactory completion of an appropriate Victorian Year 12 or its equivalent, or mature age. Applicants who have completed VET in schools will receive advanced standing.
Credit Transfer:
Applicants who have successfully completed VETiS Hospitality studies receive credit transfers and can complete a Diploma of Hospitality Management (Fast Track) in one year of full-time study.Applicants with prior tertiary studies that satisfy part of the academic requirements of this course may be granted 'credit' and/or entry to the course with 'advanced standing'. University policies apply and applicants are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
