The Bachelor of Business (Health Management and Communication) is designed to build on the CAP program agreement with NUTCM, located in China. It combines business with traditional Chinese medicine to provide a pathway program into a masters level qualification. The program enables NUTCM graduates to be awarded up to 200 credit points of advanced standing into the Faculty of Higher Education, Lilydale bachelor degree.


The course aims to provide graduates with:
  • systematic knowledge and practical skills acquisition in health management to deliver strategic communication in an increasingly complex and dynamic marketplace;
  • an understanding of tools and skills in managing and evaluating visual, written and health sector event-based elements of a social capital, management and communication;
  • critical thinking skills required to be innovative, yet practical thinking in approaching unfamiliar public and community health problems within varying contexts, giving graduates flexibility and advantage in a competitive professional health management job market;
  • the competence to integrate theory with practice in professional management and communication for health related projects;
  • the ability to approach projects in collaborative ways that acknowledge the importance of both individual initiative and effective teamwork, including the need for self directed and lifelong learning.


This program is offered to students enrolling under a NUTCM CAP agreement only. The program structure is designed to build on NUTCM’s student three foundation years, by offering a health management and communication professional major.

Swinburne College English for Academic Purposes Advanced level certificate at the undergraduate level (EAP 5: UG-65% ); OR, Obtaining a minimum IELTS overall band of 6.0 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0; OR, a TOEFL (Paper-based) minimum score of 550 (with Test of Written English (TWE) score of 5); OR, a TOEFL (Computer-based) minimum score of 213 (with Written Writing score of 5); OR, a TOEFL (Internet-based) minimum score of 80 with no band less than 20.
