6 Month/s (Students are generally required to complete the Certificate IV in Marketing and the Diploma of Marketing prior to commencement of the Advanced Diploma of Marketing. The combined duration of this approved course sequence is 18 months.) Hawthorn (Term 1, Term 3) A$6,100 (total for 2012)

 Students will be introduced to marketing concepts, market segmentation and consumer behaviour while developing an understanding of law, networking, financial management and communications. Specialised areas of study include marketing management, strategic marketing, market research and advertising strategy.
 
Students will also have the opportunity to participate in the Experience India study tour in the final stage of the program.


The Advanced Diploma of Marketing incorporates the Certificate IV in Marketing and the Diploma of Marketing. Students must have successfully completed the lower levels before progressing on to the advanced diploma.

Marketing officer, marketing research officer and management positions in these areas. Further studies may also be undertaken at degree or higher level.


On completion of the advanced diploma, graduates are eligible for membership of the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI).

Satisfactory completion of the Swinburne College English for Academic Purposes Upper Intermediate level certificate at the Pathways level (EAP 4: Pathways -60%); OR, obtaining a minimum IELTS overall band of 5.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 5.0; OR, a TOEFL (Paper-based) minimum score of 527 (with a Test of Written English (TWE) score of 4.5); OR, a TOEFL Computer-based) minimum score of 196 (with Written Writing score of 4.5); OR, a TOEFL (Internet-based) minimum score of 71 with no band less than 18.
